“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—”

- 1 Corinthians 12:12-13

Church Family Cookbook

Sisters in Christ are excitedly working on a fundraiser. We are creating a church family cookbook. How many times have you been asked during one of our pot luck lunches for a recipe for a dish that you brought? What greater way for all of those recipes to be in a book for our church family? Please submit 3-5 of your favorite recipes so you can be represented in our cookbook. You can also submit recipes in memory of a loved one. Place your name on the recipe and then indicate it is in memory of someone and include their name.

Please print and fill out the form at the button below. You can email them to Tawana Jackson at tawanajackson1956@icloud.com or Pam Wanjura at pamwan@sbcglobal.net. You can also mail the forms to the church at P.O. Box 608, Lytle, Texas 78052. Kindly submit recipes by August 1, 2024.

If you wish to order a cookbook please let Pam or Tawana know. The plan is to have the cookbooks back by November. Wouldn’t that make a wonderful Christmas present for someone?

At this time we do not know what the price of the cookbooks will be. It depends on the number of recipes received, the number of pages, and how many cookbooks ordered. The monies raised on the sale of the cookbooks will help support our future high school graduates, help comfort families that have lost a loved one, and Restore Reproductive Health Center in Hondo.

We hope we can count on you to make this a great success by submitting your favorite recipes and buying lots of cookbooks for family and friends. We thank you in advance for your support.

Walk to Emmaus

The Walk to Emmaus is a special Christian retreat.  Many of our church family members have attended and we would recommend it for anyone interested in deepening their faith.  Men’s and women’s “walks” are scheduled all year round, but our church is part of the Koinonia Emmaus Community that sponsors two of the walks, one for men and one for women, at Mt. Wesley in Kerrville.

  • Women’s Walk - November 21-24, 2024

If you would like more information about Walk to Emmaus, call the church office or pick up a brochure from the information rack in the church entranceway.
